Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 carbon fiber tripod review
When I bought this Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 as a replacement to my aluminum one a year ago I bought it with the intention of getting more weight out of my hands. I travel a lot, I take my tripod almost everywhere I take my camera and even a few pounds makes a big difference when you are doing a couple of miles. I first noticed my arm and shoulder fatiguing while on a trip to Trinidad coastline in Northern California. After just under half a mile I noticed my shoulder starting to get sore, I switched my tripod to the other hand and then noticed the pain starting in my other shoulder. I realized my aluminum version, although fairly lightweight, was not light enough. I began to look around for a tripod that would give me the amazing strength of my aluminum version but not as heavy. Naturally there is only one direction you can go from here, and that is into the realm of carbon fiber. I bought the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 tripod and I must say that overall it has been a welcomed addition to my travels. I do have my reservations about it though, and therefore can only give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Check out my short video below for some more insights. Thanks for reading.
